Oxygen of Terror
HD video, 12 min, 2016
Oxygen of Terror is a short musical film examining implications of UK policy on extremism. A boy is wrongly accused by his teacher of being an extremist and his class decides how to react. Songs are used to highlight ways idealism and fear are constructed by the War on Terror. Pieces of dialogue are taken from UK counter-terrorism legislation such as the Prevent Duty, the Counter-Extremism Strategy, and the Terrorism Act of 2006.
